Once a year the band plays to the patients, families and staff of the Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba.
According Professor Uziel, the head of the Children's Rheumatology Unit at the hospital, who is also a tenor Saxophone player in the band, music encourages the secretion of endorphins and reduces the secretion of the stress hormone.
For the players and for the conductor, this concert is one of the favourite performances in the band's year.
At the end of the concert one of the young patients is invited to conduct the band. One can always see the happiness and excitement of the child and of the audience.
